Earls Barton Sports & Leisure Development
By now, you should have all received in your copy of Barton Today a leaflet outlining the Earls Barton Grange Sports Field Re-development: An improved sporting and leisure facillity for Earls Barton.  On Wednesday 6 May, you can visit the public exhibition at the Grange Sports Field, between 6.30pm and 8.30pm, where you will have the chance to speak to some of the people working on the development.  The proposals will then be displayed in Earls Barton Library.  If you would like to comment on the proposals, please contact the Clerk via the website.  If you did not receive a copy of the leaflet, contact the Clerk and we will arrange for a leaflet to be delivered to you.

Swine Flu - Flu Friends
Over the past week there has been much publicity regarding Swine Flu.  As yet, this has not effected us in Earls Barton but we will soon be receiving an information leaflet from the government on what to do if the worse happens.  Many vulnerable people in the village would not be able to get out and collect their groceries or medication if a pandemic did strike.  Therefore, would you consider being a "Flu Friend" to these people should they need help.  This would just require collecting basic shopping items and medication for them.  If you are interested, please contact the Clerk and a register of Flu Friends will be drawn up.  In addition, if you know of someone who lives alone and may need help in an emergency such as this, please ask them to contact the Clerk and we will assist where we can.
