Cllr Blackwell reported on his discussions with Mark Gatland of MGSWP. Repairs are being made to potholes in the village roads at present. Resurfacing of the bottom part of Dowthorpe Hill is scheduled to take place next financial year. Mark has also submitted an application to resurface the Janes Estate next financial year, although this has not been agreed. White marking on the steps on the Square to be reinstated and discussions to continue regarding the railings in the village centre. A response from NCC regarding gritting in the severe weather was read out, and it was agreed that the Clerk request a supply of salt for the PC to hold to fill up the grit bins if these conditions reoccur. Richard Hall reported on the access to the Junior and Infant Schools. NCC are in the process of registering the land, and will keep the Clerk updated on progress. Mr Hall also said he would look into the frequency of visits by Parking Wardens to the village and drain and gully cleansing work and report back to the Clerk.
