131/10 Highways & Maintenance |
(a) Update on Meeting with Barkers – minutes from the meeting were circulated to members. Barkers are to look into whether they are able to assist with alleviating parking issues in Earls Barton. A follow up meeting will take place in September.
(b) Temporary Road Closure – from 2 August the A4500 from Earls Barton to Great Billing will be closed for maintenance (off peak over 2 days).
(c) Email were received from NCC, firstly to advise that the gateways on the entrances to the village would no longer be going ahead and new signs have been ordered instead, secondly requesting a meeting with the Safer Routes to School Team to discuss options. The clerk will write to state that it is unacceptable that the PC were not consulted over the scrapping of the gateway scheme and that new signs is not an acceptable alternative. The Clerk will also contact the Safer Routes Team and local schools to arrange a meeting.
