210/10 BCW Site Specific Proposals Development Plan Document Preferred Options - Consultation |
Bob Entwistle was invited to address the Parish Council regarding the response to the consultation. Cllr Abbott declared an interest in the response relating to sporting needs in Earls Barton and took no part in discussions relating to this. It was agreed to respond to the consultation as follows:
Preferred Option 25 – Enabling and Improving Sports Provision – “This option is welcomed and a suitable site has been identified and shown on the proposals plan for Earls Barton”
Preferred Option 27 – Parish Plans – The Parish Council welcomes support for the proposals in Parish Plans as this will help to ensure that future developments meet the needs of the community.”
Preferred Option 29 – Preferred Rural Housing Sites – The Parish Council is pleased that the site previously identified in Station Road has been removed from the preferred options and does not object in principle to development of the identified sites on the proposed scale.”
Preferred Option 30 – Rural Housing Options – The Parish Council notes that the additional housing is to located in Irchester and Wollaston but would remind the Borough Council that there is a need for 40 affordable mixed tenure homes and a community centre in Earls Barton.
Earls Barton Inset Preferred Option Plan – The amended plan is acceptable to the Parish Council, taking into account the need for 40 affordable mixed tenure homes.
