217/10 Highways & Maintenance |
(a) Parking Restriction Review – Wellingborough 2010/11 – It was resolved that the Parish Council respond by requesting that local residents be consulted prior to the Parish Council giving its views.
(b) Traffic Calming – response from Debbie Thorne – Debbie Thorne to be invited to March’s meeting, when there will be more information on NCC’s budgets for 2011/12. The Clerk will meet with the school heads to organise a meeting with the Safer Routes to School Team from NCC. Also request the zebra crossings in the village centre be replaced with pelican crossings now that there are no School Crossing Patrols, and extend barriers outside the school.
(c) Request for Bollards – Doddington Road - The Parish Council have no objection to the placement of bollards provided local residents have been consulted and are in agreement.
(d) Barkers Meeting – update – to take place on Thursday 20 January 6pm, with a pre-meeting at the Youth Club at 5.30pm
(e) BCW – Treeworks on Station Road – Comments requested - noted
(f) Grit Bins – update - noted
(g) Proposed 40mph speed limit – Washbrook Lane – comments requested – support proposal
(h) Road Closure Orders and Highway Maintenance Notifications – details noted
(i) New village gateways – request for planters – to be included in next years budget.
