153/10 Highways & Maintenance |
(a) Village Gateways – update – The Clerk advised that, following negotiations with NCC, gateways will be erected at some of the village entrances and new signs will be provided at all.
(b) Review of Parking Regulations – update – traffic regulations on Churchill Road will not be reviewed at this time and will be dealt with separately under Safer Routes to School. Parking restrictions is the centre of the village will go to consultation, as will other minor adjustments to the Traffic Regulation Orders in New Barton and Doddington Road. Cllr Blackwell suggested that a debate regarding parking issues in the village should be considered. Following concerns from a resident, the Clerk will request a single white line to stop parking across the entrance to Bowlers Yard.
(c) Barkers Meeting – update – The Clerk will forward the proposed dates to all those to attend and will report back at the next meeting of the confirmed date.
(d) Treeworks – Recreation Field – It was agreed to ask R&G to carry out minor tree works to remove basal growth
(e) Request for new dog bin – Mill Lane – It was agreed the Clerk to look into and purchase either an additional bin or bigger bin.
(f) Request for Litter Bins at Bus Stops – to be considered for next financial year.
