(a) Bench outside 126 Northampton Road – the Clerk will contact Malc Garner regarding repairs. If it is not possible to repair the bench, it will be considered for replacement next financial year.
(b) Parking Regulations Update - the Clerk reported that NCC will not support a 3 hour parking restriction in the village centre, but will support a controlled parking zone using Pay and Display machines if the Parish Council will fund the machines. It was agreed that this was not a satisfactory solution for the Parish Council and the Clerk will write to Debbie Thorne regarding this matter. A site meeting has also been arranged with Helen Howard, Community Liaison Officer with NCC to discuss the request for a white line outside the Methodist Chapel and specific parking issues relating to a resident on Broad St.
(c) Request to adopt tree – Station Road – A letter was received from a resident. Following discussion, Cllr Cahill proposed that the tree be adopted by the Parish Council. With 3 members in favours and 7 against, the motion was not carried.
(d) Salt Bins – update – it was noted that the existing salt bins have been filled, but no new bins installed. The Clerk will chase up with NCC.
